Let’s end this month with a new collection of great tunes for your earholes. We’ve got something for everyone on this list, so have a listen and let us know what you think!

Joshua Hyslop – “Ash & Stone”

We’re kicking things off with solo artist Joshua Hyslop’s “Ash & Stone”, from his brand new EP, Embers. It’s a catchy track, and his fantastic vocals will hook you right away.

James Blonde – “Hundred Bucks”

Another new tune from local pals, James Blonde! A fun-as-hell video goes along with this one (because they’re always fun), and it’s a great tune that’s gonna get stuck in your head. Give ’em some love!

Fake Shape – “Headspace”

Hamilton’s Fake Shape’s latest track “drifts through contrasting textures that fall between funk, psych, pop, and ambient electronic”. There’s a lot of groove to this one, give it a spin!

Kasador – “Givin’ It Up”

The latest Kasador song has some serious funk to it, perfectly complementing their indie pop rock sound. Give their video a watch, and prepare to get this song stuck in your head.

Diamond Shake – “Bird Song”

We’ve got Diamond Shake back on FTS, with a new single! “Birdsong” is groovy slow jam about relationships. They’re released it with a fully animated video that matches the mood of the song perfectly.

Beser – “Down”

Here’s a great video by the talented Ryan Stephenson Price of Stratasfear Productions. This is the first single by Beser since being signed, and it’s a great one. The percussive guitar adds an interesting depth to an overall moody tune. Check it out!

WHOOP-szo “Amaruq”

WHOOP-szo is a group “sprung from a mixed-blooded experience of Canadian history with deep Anishinabek roots.” To me, their indie rock sound is reminiscent of some of the best 90s Can-Con. Well worth a listen.

Shade – “Drive Me Wild”

Hailing from Hamilton, Shade gives us genre-spanning sound – influences of Brit rock, grunge, punk, with some psychedelic twists. Check out their latest video for new track, “Drive Me Wild”!
